Aside from the Living Shapes, falling under the Flexibility concept is the Living Sculpture that is concentrated fully on the design. This Philips innovation allows a spacial light construction that uses three-dimensional surfaces. This experience creates a spell-binding light installation within minutes of application to produce state-of-the-art lighting effects. This is ideal for corporate headquarters, five-star hotels, clubs, and restaurants, serving as beautifully-lit chandeliers above reception desks, dining tables and bar counters.

An unparalleled level of design is also provided by Living Sculpture. The flexibility concept paved the way for this product’s freedom to prop up sophisticated lighting solutions and create stunning light designs upon installation. The design, arrangement, setup and operation is completely on the hands of the consumer, allowing them to control light in ways unimaginable.

Materials Integration

Philips has maximized commercial spaces through sensory luminous textile panels. Multi-colored LED modules were integrated with acoustic textile panels to show dynamic content and soften sound. Because this product is engineered to sensor shapes, a very special effect that integrates diffused light and aesthetics is formed. With design freedom and fully customizable content, the luminous textile produces dream-like quality like nothing you’ve seen before.

The panels are furnished with Kvadrat Soft Cell textile that keeps fabric under constant tension within the aluminium frame. These textiles are genetically created to let consumers enjoy the stunning look of high-quality panels, meeting the requirements for abrasion, light-fastness and flammability. This concept may be installed as part of the overall make-up of the building or post-fit solution for sound absorption. This innovative solution is ideal for modern offices, hotel hallways and meeting areas to bring spaces back to life.

Philips launch their of of kind LED Light Technology with sensor, In spite that we all know philips bring us light, then a cooling air to our bedroom or in our living room & philips also bring us something to make easier to our daily life routine like brewing our coffee, a need of a hot water, ironing our clothes, cook our rice for meal, better quality sound of music, playing our favorite movie in cd or dvd format, viewing our playing movies, and of course a bulb to light up our darkest site of view.

And now Philips latest technology focuses in light innovation to give us more and powerful light in eco friendly, long lasting and big savings to our budget too. LED light is actually a technology in the world since early 30 years ago, that has been scattered in Germany in year 2001 and one of the Main Consumable Products in Europe. Now in Asia we are adopting the proof and tested technology about LED or Light Emitting Diode.

Brief History about LED or Light Emitting Diode;

For over 30 years, LEDs have been used in various areas of application, whether for industrial systems, hi-fi equipment, car lights or advertising. LED technical development continues to stride ahead. In the course of recent years, the white LEDs’ luminous efficacy has increased to a startling 130 lumens per watt and more. This is a trend that will continue into the future. In addition, the physical effect of electroluminescence was discovered more than 100 years ago.

1. HOW THEY WORK

LEDs create light by electroluminescence in a semiconductor material. Electroluminescence is the phenomenon of a material emitting light when electric current or an electric field is passed through it – this happens when electrons are sent through the material and fill electron holes. An electron hole exists where an atom lacks electrons (negatively charged) and therefore has a positive charge. Semiconductor materials like germanium or silicon can be “doped” to create and control the number of electron holes. Doping is the adding of other elements to the semiconductor material to change its properties. By doping a semiconductor you can make two separate types of semiconductors in the same crystal. The boundary between the two types is called a p-n junction. The junction only allows current to pass through it one way, this is why they are used as diodes. LEDs are made using p-n junctions. As electrons pass through one crystal to the other they fill electron holes. They emit photons (light). This is also how the semiconductor laser works.
